Bauer Auto Service Partners with Chatham United Methodist Church to Help Feed Local Families
Bauer Auto Service is proud to support the Chatham United Methodist Church (CUMC) in its ongoing mission to fight food insecurity in our community by hosting a food drive. The food drive is called “Fix Cars & Feed Families” and aims to stock the church’s food pantry while also spreading the word regarding the ongoing need for donations. Through Bauer Auto’s community network, the shop aims to encourage greater participation in supporting local families.
From November 1–30, 2025, Bauer Auto will donate one food item to the church’s food pantry for every car that comes in for any service, inspection, or repair. In addition, Bauer Auto will match any food donation brought to their shop during November to encourage local donations.
About the Food Pantry
For the past five years, the Chatham United Methodist Church has provided pantry staples, fresh produce, and other essentials to 40 - 50 local families on average each Wednesday, rain or shine. This weekly distribution relies entirely on donations and community partnerships.
How You Can Help
1. Bring Your Car to Bauer Auto
For every service visit, Bauer Auto will donate one pantry item on your behalf.

2. Bring a Food Donation to Bauer Auto
Drop off unexpired pantry items, and Bauer will match your donation item for item.
3. Donate Directly to CUMC
Deliver pantry goods or make a monetary donation to support the church in purchasing fresh produce each week.
